This week’s mindset I want to focus on is:

I am bringing others happiness with my skills and talents.

We saw this in action Saturday night.  Our family was having dinner with my parents and siblings.  We ate at a Chinese restaurant.

Soon an incredible balloon structure on a guy’s head caught my eye.  I comment to my son, “Wow!  See the balloon on his head?  See the monkey?”  And the guy walks in with his bag and starts asking a table close to us if they want to buy some balloon art creations.

They decline.

My father then has a brilliant idea to get 2 balloon creations for his grandkids – our kids.  He beckons the balloon artist over.

He shyly comes over and asks what the kids would like.

It was absolutely incredible.  This guy is extremely talented.  He tells us he’s doing this to raise money for his college fund.  He’s been making balloon art since he was 6 years old.

My husband, I, and our kids’ eyes were glued on his every move.  And when he was done, he handed our daughter her Hello Kitty.  She was delighted.

He handed our son his light sabre.  Our son’s face lit up and gave a shy smile, not sure what a light sabre was.  But everyone could tell he was so happy to receive this special creation.

And Jonathan the balloon artist saw our children’s happiness – and it was obvious it gave him great joy to do what he does.

Here are pictures of the amazing art he did:
