To my daugher

Thank you for being a great example to your brother.  (getting her face towel to wash up)

I appreciate your politeness.

Thank you for getting your jacket to wear.

I’m proud of you for stopping your tantrum.  (@ the park)

You’re very helpful.  (unloading the contents from her backpack)

I love your handwriting.  It’s so pretty.

I’m so happy and proud of you for remembering to bring your library book home.

To my son

Thank you for following your sister’s example.

I appreciate your politeness.

Good work getting your jacket.

Thank you for being patient.

Great job putting the dollhouse away.

To my hubby

That’s a great choice.  I think they’ll thank you for it.  (to bring Costco’s delicious broccoli salad for his work’s Halloween party)

I appreciate you calling the TV repair guy, so I didn’t have to do it.

I’m so happy you saw my need & helped me without me asking.  I feel so loved.  (helping me finish the kids’ bath and dishes because I wasn’t feeling well)

Observations

It was super fun to shower them with praises today.  It certainly helped me to stay calm and speak kindly to the kids when they both threw tantrums while we were at the park.  My hubby has been responding well.  He looked visibly lighter and less burdened today.  He did so much to help me today that I didn’t expect and that was very nice :)
