I have a few Work At Home Wednesday posts sitting in my draft folder.  I haven’t sent them…

After all, I want to write what’s helpful to you!  Many of you are not working from home, and some of you are.  I pondered over how to bring you Work At Home Wednesday and have it be relevant to you, wherever you’re at.

Here’s my solution for the next 31 days…

I’ll be working through the ebook 31 Days to Build a Better Blog by Darren Rowse from ProBlogger.net – and sharing my progress with you here on Work At Home Wednesday!  I hope as I share snippets of what I learn, you can follow along and benefit from some of it!

Blogging is a treasured activity for many of us.  I want to make this blog more inspiring, fun and helpful to you!  One of my colleagues gave me an awesome tip today.  She said, focus on learning one social media venue at a time.  For herself, she learned all there was to become an expert on YouTube.  AFTER she’s pretty much mastered it, THEN she moved on to learning Facebook.  There’s so much more to each social media platform than meets the eye!  So many strategies, tips and tricks to explore and implement.  So I’m taking her advice to pick 1 venue and master it – for me it’s blogging.  For you, it may be something else.  The key is to pick 1 thing you truly enjoy and can best express yourself through it.  People have to see and get to know you as a person.

The wonderful SITS group over at BlogFrog.com are going through the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog together, too!  This helps keep me accountable to get this ebook done (that’s been sitting in my computer hard drive for months)!  The ProBlogger challenge officially started on July 19, so here I link to each week’s tasks for you.

Here are the tasks for Days 1-7:

31 Days to Build a Better Blog Days 1-7 -

Next week on Work At Home Wednesday, you’ll see the tasks for Days 8-10.  I’m slowing down my pace so I can chew and digest these wonderful lessons more!

Thanks for popping by my blog and following. Happy to return the *luv!* You write very well and I'm looking forward to getting to know you! Taking Social Media one tool at a time sounds like excellent advice! Otherwise it can truly be overwhelming!

Hey Jinnia, this is a great project. I agree that a blogger should find one thing that allows the reader to get to know them. I gave you an award! Come and get it! :)

Funny, I didn't know you were doing this on SITSgirls! I am too but fell off track after a little road trip and accident took the wind out of me. Will play catch up for sure!
    Best,

Oh, no! Are you okay? When did this happen? Well I'm glad you're doing the 31DBBB too! I did find this to be quite challenging to keep up though, so I've slowed down my pace until I can keep up in a more balanced way.
