sand in hand stockvault_5868_200703010005It pains me to watch a person who’s incredibly dedicated, talented and all-around great person…

Be sad and dejected because he’s not doing what he’s made to do.

It does take hard work, courage and determination.  But if your life depended on it, wouldn’t you find a way to do it?

People don’t get tired from working long hours…they get tired from working long hours at something that gives them no connection to life.  When there’s no meaning to what you’re doing, THAT’S when you get tired.

I know people who get so much done it’s downright unbelievable!  Yet they have such a vigor to their step, such an inner joy to their smile, such a purposeful way about them.  They may get physically tired, but then they just sleep and feel rejuvenated.  They’re not constantly DRAINED and exhausted.

Do you know anybody who’s constantly drained and exhausted?  How does it make you feel to be around them?

You can be the most encouraging and loving person to support them…but if they don’t ever figure out who they are…

If they don’t discover what they’re designed to DO…

Life can be one giant Groundhog Day with a few perks here and there.  God-given dreams can shrink to the size of a pea.  Out of fear, it’s possible to let the joy of life slip right by.  Is this what we want to teach our children?  Do we want the next generation to live in fear, do what the rest of the population is used to doing, and go on auto-pilot??

Fear of failure, fear of success, fear of looking like a fool…

If you’re sick and tired of being caged by fear, if you’re numb to your desires, if you want a change…then press through the fear and take action.  Do what’s right in front of you that needs to get done.

Then take a step forward.  You may not know exactly where to step.  That’s ok and quite normal.  Here’s where you ask someone to help you wherever you’re at.  Make sure you find someone who’s been where you are, and who’s got what you want to model after.

I believe that is the toughest thing to figure out what you are designed to do. And for many people it is also a tough step to go for it even when they have it all figured out. Not that simple. That is when we need support of friends and loved ones.

    Great post! Really very thoughtful..

Thanks for your insight on this, Lena. Very true – it is tough to figure it out what you're designed to do, let alone go for it. One needs to dig deep and it's not easy to do that. But I believe when the right puzzle pieces come together, it could be simpler. Especially with much-needed support and help from family and friends.

Very true – it is tough to figure it out what you’re designed to do, let alone go for it. One needs to dig deep and do much soul searching. I believe it’s not easy, but it could be simple when the right puzzle pieces come together, along with much-needed support and help from family and friends. Thanks for your insight on this, Lena.
