If you were to lose everything today and start all over from scratch, what would you do?
That’s a difficult question, isn’t it? One of my son’s preschool friend’s home was burned down in a fire back in late April. They lost everything and it was devastating, especially losing their precious family photos. Those are irreplaceable.
The cool thing in business is, you could always start again. If you lost your business, if your week or month wasn’t the best, you could always reset with the game plan laid out here through Priority Team. Start off again fast, reset every single day, week, month, or anytime you want. It’s really up to you.
One of Priority Team’s members is having a wild breakthrough, now enrolling 9-12 people each week into his business. 3 years in the home business industry, he was using the business as a hobby, even though he was making a lot of money. When he had bad months, he wanted out. Top earners have done that before. That was beginning of 2010. He decided, Let’s reset, fill the pipeline again. He did it before, he can do it again. It starts with belief, once he got blessed with this thought in college, if I could just have a one-hour conversation with an influential person. Then he went to a Dani Johnson seminar and met those people. He learned more during weekend seminars and training calls than in 7 years of college. These are instrumental to his success when he decided to start over again in his mind.
Things To Do When Starting Over From Scratch In Business
Have an end in mind. What do you want your business to look like? Think specific quantitative goal. A friend looking to start a traditional start-up self-employed business plans on working hard 50-80 hours a week for 5 years. He’s looking to do every single aspect of his business – sales, secretary, etc. What if you, instead of 5 years, you found a way to leverage yourself where you do the most important thing in the shortest period of time, that produces the most amount of fruit, the most amount of clients, and everything else, you can outsource. Build a system where you hire laborers. You can within a year or less, get to an 8-hour workweek, and become a top enroller in the industry, top duplicator, highest retention. Having this end in mind, you can find multiple ways to find leverage points. Let’s see how much you can take yourself out of the equation.
Hire a coach for your team. Hire an assistant. A phone line dedicated to your team, to call their coach. Group coaching system. Build a system that’s not based on one guru. If you wanna have a life, you don’t want to be the guru. You wanna be the guy in the trenches doing simple things, having many trainers available. Do this internally, or outsource to Priority Team. There are so many things you can outsource over time.
How do you become a top producer in your business? You gotta raise up 4 leaders. They’re gonna lead by example, go out and get 4. It duplicates and multiplies. How the industry works is in most people’s home business career, they’re blessed to find 4 people their entire career. It usually takes a minimum of 40 people to find 4 serious builders. But what’s possible, while keeping your priorities in order, and not jeopardizing family? You could do it every few years. Be a Steady Eddie, not a Super-Charismatic leader. Plug into Priority Team, and do it every year. If you’re aggressive, every 6 months, even every 90 days. Tom finds it’s possible every month – 40 people in a month. You’re forced not to be the guru if you’re doing that much enrolling.
James Peterson is enrolling double digits on a weekly basis, happening in the month of June. For him, it’s mainly the discipline, working hard on the posture, and the economy is in our favor. His mindset is it’s not just skill set, it’s a ministry in rural Tennessee. He’s going into this knowing he’s blessing people. Really worked on getting rid of the junk, which was his biggest obstacle this last year. He was focusing on his posture and learning to really connect with people, putting their dreams to the forefront. It’s about listening skills, and not talk as much as you listen.
Here’s what you do to get massive exposure for yourself and your team, of qualified people that are sent to simple messages, while training up and raising up lean, mean recruiting machines on their team. Plug them into a culture/system where people are fighting to learn the skill sets of how to have a breakthrough. Recruiting is not easy. For 3 years, Tom struggled until he listened to a cassette tape that helped tremendously. That’s also what the Boot camps are for – specifically for the accountability from Tom.
Learn skill sets, leveraging, and lead by example.
1. Get your people doing grassroots promotions with either people they know or people they don’t know. Do whatever it takes to get advertising on a mass scale. Don’t start with the most expensive. Start with lots of people for practice purposes. It’s a whatever it takes attitude.
2. Co-op advertising. You learn how to generate your own co-ops, or you qualify to do Priority Team co-ops.
3. Slowly over the year, teach your team how to generate your own leads.
Put all your focus on your end goal. 4 people a month is possible. I’m not in this industry to make a bunch of money, although that comes. I do it to help transform lives because of the growth you have to experience to reach the next level. Massive personal growth. Through that process, people learn how to transform lives on purpose. It’s an awesome process.
